Parking lot was a slight hassle but they are undoing changes so I guess we'll see after construction is finished.

Room for improvements:
Love the buffet! Great food, great staff, great price. The casino side is more like 3 Stars ... the slot machines are too tight!!! I have not left there a winner except only ONE TIME in 10 visits, and then it was a $10 win. That's simply too tight! Casinos in Kansas, Iowa and Minnesota have much looser slots, with higher winning %'s, no matter what Dakota Magic has posted on the wall detailing winning %'s there.
Stayed in the hotel while passing through. The staff were nice, the rooms were typical hotel fare, however, it was quite clear by the mystery deposits on the sheets that they hadn't been changed. They did come and change them and reduced our rate.
Can't stand being there more than an hour or two with all the smoke. I can't wait till they open a non smoking area. Overall it's alright once in a great while. The improvements seem to be taking forever. They need more bathrooms.
Quality of food for price of buffet. Eat at the grill side at full menu, get better bang for your buck that way.
Most of the staff are hard working, nice, and helpful. However, we stopped at the c store and their supervisor was the worse! She was so disrespectful to every female customer!
The renovations to the Magic are taking forever. The inconveniences are getting old. There is only one bathroom for the casino floor. There is a handicap bathroom they the girl lobby down a long hall by the golf course but that's all the public restrooms there are. It's been this way for two years. When the casino is at full operation it is a great place to eat and play slots and table games. Come on Magic let's get it finished.
It was pretty good overall.
