To a city girl like me, this sounded a little sketchy but my mom, who is a North Dakota native and knows about small towns, told me this was very promising.
Was driving from Bismarck to Lincoln, Nebraska. Somewhere just south of Fargo my tire went flat. I happened to catch it just before it was flat and filled it with air, but was worried about and kept pulling over and filling it with my cigarette lighters plug in pump. I made it to a great gas station at the crossroads and the cashier there heard my sad story and said, " hang on, let me call my dad." This was on a Sunday. Things were looking grim. The tire wouldn't hold air and my spare was way too insubstantial to get me to Lincoln safely. She talked to the dad for a while and hung up and told me to go down the road a few miles to a great gas station run by a great family and hey, their son just is opening a garage and he may be there...
Turns out it was a dream come true.
The family had just converted their gas station/store to include a garage, run by their son, complete with a new lift and an immaculate floor. I was his first customer! He patched my tire in minutes, I was on my way in no time. Fantastic experience, knowledgeable mechanic, great price, great store and mom gave us pens! This place was amazing! A big thanks to "dad" who told his daughter at the other gas station to send us here. And a very big thanks to the Lovdokken family for their great service!
